With 17 years of experience working in elite sports, Dave has established a reputation for excellence and dedication in the field of physiotherapy. Throughout their career, Dave has provided elite-level care to professional athletes, helping them achieve peak performance and recovery from injuries.
In addition to their extensive physiotherapy expertise, Dave is also a certified Sports Scientist and strength and conditioning specialist. This unique combination of skills allows them to design and implement comprehensive training programmes that enhance athletic performance, build strength and prevent injuries.
Dave has a deep commitment to working with young athletes and adolescents. Understanding the unique physical and developmental needs of this age group, Dave provides specialized care that helps young individuals achieve their full potential while ensuring their long-term health and well-being.
Now, bringing this wealth of knowledge and expertise to their private clinic, Dave is dedicated to offering personalized and effective physiotherapy, strength & conditioning solutions to clients of ages and backgrounds. Their approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, innovative technique, and a deep understanding of the human body.

PAUL DOHERTY
We are excited to introduce one of our co-founders at Ascension, Paul Doherty, who is also our Lead Soft Tissue and Sports Massage Therapist. Paul brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, having worked as the Men’s First Team Soft Tissue Therapist at Birmingham City FC for the past 16 years. Prior to that, he honed his skills in private practice in London.
During his nearly two decades of full-time work with elite sports people, Paul has developed an impressive range of skills and protocols to ensure athletes can consistently achieve their full potential. His experience extends beyond just football, having also worked with international cricketers, West End stars, and Hollywood stunt performers.
Paul’s approach to treatment is holistic and tailored to each individual’s needs. He employs a combination of techniques to ensure optimal results, including Deep Tissue Massage, DTTF, IASTM, Myofascial Cupping, Advanced Active Release techniques, and NMRE. All scenarios are catered for, whether your focus is on recovery, injury prevention, maintenance, pre event treatment or rehabilitation. Paul is passionate about helping people to not only function better in their daily lives, but also prepare to perform at the highest level they aspire to.

MICHAEL MORRISON
Michael Morrison has had an illustrious 20-year career, playing over 750 professional games. He understands the importance of physiotherapy and recovery, having experienced it firsthand throughout his career.
Michael met Dave and Paul while he was the captain at Birmingham City. Over the years, they became not only colleagues but also friends, with Dave and Paul providing treatment for his wife and wider family.
Having experienced firsthand Dave and Paul’s expertise and approach, Michael was impressed by their dedication and skill. When they shared their vision of making their elite-level care available to everyone, not just athletes. He eagerly joined them to help make this dream a reality, recognising their best in class level. Michael feels privileged to be a part of their shared vision.
Together, they are dedicated to making elite-level physiotherapy and performance expertise available to everyone, giving everyone the opportunity to be treated with the care of an athlete.
